The Kyiv History Museum is running several specialized programs, aimed at socio-cultural support of different groups of people, including children, youth, elderly and those with disabilities. Each program is designed to meet the needs of these groups of visitors.
Cultprostir Hub is a comprehensive program of exhibitions and cultural and educational activities aimed at the promotion of the Museum and attraction of the Kyiv community to joint development and implementation in the Museum of different projects on the cultural and artistic life of the capital of Ukraine. The program is implemented at the Kyiv History Museum & Exhibition Centre since 2016.
Kyїv art school
Kyїv art school project is aimed to recall the history of the formation and development of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts, which turned 100 years in 2017 and to present in the Museum a series of retrospective exhibitions of the well-known contemporary artists of Kyiv, who gained professional education here. The project is implemented at the Kyiv History Museum & Exhibition Centre since 2017 and attracts attention of a large number of Kyiv residents, artists and students of the related to art Institutions.
Nordic Night is the annual event, which is held at the Kyiv History Museum & Exhibition Centre since 2017. The event is initiated and organized by the Nordic Center in close cooperation with Embassies of Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland in Ukraine, and supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers.
The Nordic Night creates a perfect immersion into the Nordic way of life by sharing the key values of the Nordics such as Tolerance and Equality, Trust, Openness, Responsibility, as well as Sustainability, and Nordic lifestyle and inspire guests by giving an authentic experience and creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
3 floors of the Kyiv History Museum & Exhibition Centre transform into the display of the Nordic countries with multiple activities exploring Nordic cultures and their special features through music, games, exciting discussions and talks, various workshops – on cuisine, floorball, dance, and much more. So the guests have a chance to taste different aspects of the Nordic life. The project is interesting for all visitors: youth, adults and children.
PUR VITAL – for the elderly and for them
PUR VITAL is a socio-cultural project, implemented at the Kyiv History Museum & Exhibition Centre since 2015.
The project is a comprehensive program of activities for certain categories of the population that need additional attention. The project is aimed at the cultural support, leisure and social help for the elderly, socially disadvantaged groups and the disabled.
The PUR VITAL activities include concerts, readings, performances, master-classes, lectures, foreign language courses and other events that help the audience to interact, learn something new and overcome loneliness.
Culture without limits
CULTURE WITHOUT LIMITS is the program of the Kyiv History Museum, aimed at the integration of people with disabilities into the common social and cultural space of the city.
The program is implemented at the Kyiv History Museum & Exhibition Centre since 2015 as our Museum is one of the few museums in Kyiv, which has ramps, elevators, seating and other facilities for visitors with disabilities. The Kyiv History Museum & Exhibition Centre is a barer free space that allows people to move freely in wheelchairs.
