The exhibition tells about the activities of thirty Ukrainian political prisoners in 1972 (a total of about a hundred people were arrested in Ukraine during the year).
On December 30, 1971, the KGB of the Ukrainian SSR approved a large-scale action against Ukrainian samizdat. The reason for the arrests was the detention on January 4 on the Soviet border of a Belgian student Yaroslav Dobosh with a small amount of Ukrainian self-published materials. The Block case has been launched.
The exhibition presents photographs and documents. The exhibition is complemented by works of art by Borys Kurlikov, Hryhoriy Herchak, Halyna Sevruk, Panas Zalyvakha, camp embroidery by Iryna Senyk and others.
The exhibition will run from January 25 to February 20, 2022 at the Museum of the Sixties at O. Gonchara, 33A
