“Christmas stories of Kyiv”
“Christmas Stories of Kyiv” is an exhibition where you can absorb the spirit of Christmas of the last century. About a thousand exclusive and collectible exhibits create an unforgettable atmosphere, for which this holiday is adored by both children and adults.
Namely: original greeting cards of local and foreign production, as well as cards of the Ukrainian diaspora, a collection of Christmas toys of the Museum of the History of Kyiv, Santa Claus in 1926, created by Ukrainian artist Hryhoriy Svitlytsky.
The exhibition is dedicated to the traditions of celebrating Christmas and New Year in Kyiv. Exclusive exhibits fill the interior of the early twentieth century with the spirit of Christmas. and 1950-60.
Thus, the filling of the children’s room of the early twentieth century. On the eve of Christmas, children’s masquerade costumes and gifts for children under the Christmas tree were made up of children’s toys and candy boxes from famous confectioners in Kyiv in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. – «В. The theme of preparation for the New Year’s ball is reproduced in the interior of the living room of the XIX century. The exhibition will be complemented by thematic master classes and excursions. All this will allow you to absorb the festive atmosphere and look deep into the history of unique exhibits.
